Fitting it in

Exercise that is.

If you read my regularly, you know I'm a bit of a gym rat. 4-5 times a week, religiously. 3 times a week is a bad week for me.

I'm lucky though. I only work part-time, so I go the 2 days a week I don't work, once on the weekends, and once one morning before I go to work. I spin, I kickbox, I do the elliptical, I lift weights (sometimes, I need to do that more.) With all the working out I do, I should be a toothpick.

I'm also lucky because my gym has amazing childcare. Michael started at 6 weeks and he loves going. The thinnest I ever was was on maternity leave because I went to the gym everyday. I could put him in the Kids Klub for 2 hours a day. It was my sanity. And the baby room was fabulous. Now, the toddler room always has a movie on and I have convinced some of my mom friends to join so he has friends that go as well. It's also just part of his day, "okay, we go to gym now."

The thing with exercise is, once you do it often enough, you can't imagine not doing it. But, you stop for a while, and it's impossible to get back into it. (Sound like anything else you know?)

This post brought to you by Parent Bloggers Network and Ryka shoes, who are giving away one free pair of shoes every day this month!

I hear ya. I don't go to the gym nearly as much as I'd like to, but I go about 3-4 times a week (on average). I love it, too. But I missed a week recently and this week was difficult getting back in the swing of things.

Why do people think it's cute, funny, or interesting to call it Kids Klub (with a K) instead of Club.

Or why not Kidz Clubbe to be fancy and hip?

Always wonder why they mess with kids group names while they should be learning how to spell correctly.

Or maybe it's a pun?

Congrats on being a gymme ratte. Or jim rat.

My older one loved going to the childwatch at the Y, but for the past couple of months he's been giving me a really hard time. My younger one really likes it, so I've been trying to go when the older one is in preschool.
