Michael insisted on bringing his new best friend, Boody.
I was thrilled we spent $50 and drove an hour for Michael to play with the EXACT SAME train table we have at home that he totally ignores.
He did enjoy the antique trains though. I was just hoping he didn't break them.
Look! It's Thomas, made out of Lego's.
Time for a little nap in the moon bounce. (Why does every children's activity have a moon bounce?)

Finally, Thomas! I was not waiting in the hour long line to actually take a picture with Thomas, so this is the best you are getting.

He insisted on wearing his Thomas sunglasses on the train.

So maybe I'm a moron, but when I bought tickets for this event which is just a ploy to separate parents from their cash, I thought we would really be riding Thomas. Apparently, they take a Thomas Engine, and throw it on the trains you can ride anytime you go to the B & O Railroad museum. And Thomas only pulls you back into the station. Another engine pulls you the rest of the ride.
Michael thought it was the coolest thing EVER!

Riding a stupid kiddie train ride, we waited like 30 minutes for this thing, but he was really patient.

And, in the end, Michael had a blast, and that is all that matters.

When we were leaving, we told Michael he could pick out one toy. Once again, one toy turned into two. Every time we tell Michael he can have one thing, he picks the cheapest thing in the store, this time it was a flashlight. We bought him a book also. (Man he loves this flashlight. The cheap piece of crap broke on Sunday and luckily Doug figured out the light bulb burnt out, in a day, a day(!), and he ran to Lowe's and replaced it. We were dealing with a major melt down.)

Boody had clearly had enough by then.
On a side note, I need some love for actually posting pictures in a timely fashion, like, right after an event happens!
P.S. I'm being told that some people are having problems seeing the pictures. I can see them and I know others can as well. Can you email me me at jodi@lucidphoenix.com if you are having problems? I can't figure it out.
P.S.S. I know some of the pictures are missing, and others look weird. Stupid blogger (not me, the program, I can't fix it!) I GIVE UP!!!TYPEPAD, HERE I COME!!

I'm glad that Michael had a fun day becuase, like you said, that is all that really matters. BUT! I'm glad that we didn't take our daughter up to Baltimore for this like we'd been planning.
i can only see half the pictures :(
We're definitely taking Lucas there this summer. We missed Thomas but I hear the place is fabulous regardless! (Oh and Kudos on the quick pics!)
What a nice day out. I always love seeing pictures of Michael, so yay on getting them up in a timely manner! My fav picture though is of "Boody" passed out on the table. Did the little guy have a rough day or what?
That looks like a blast!! And major kudos to you for getting them uploaded so fast...I'm envious!
Also, for some reason I couldn't see your Quote Saturday post on your site, only on my google reader, but I thought that you picked a great quote. I finally saw the movie when it came out on DVD, and I enjoyed it too!
I am impressed with the quick posting. I can't seem to get myself to post lately. Very lazy.
Good job posting right away! :)
You're totally right, the important thing is that he had fun. Who knows, maybe that will get him playing with his train set at home now.
When we went last year, our train experience was similar but the ride itself was longer.
It's definately a good time for the kiddos, even though it drains your wallet.
It looks like Michael had a blast!
ACK! You beat me to it. I was just about to blog that I got tickets to take Harry - we are going in Sept. when Thomas comes to Nashville. Every one is different, so the mileage may vary.
I am still excited.
Dude, that kid is THE CUTEST!
